Kitchen and Bathroom Tap Installation in Ash Vale, Surrey
Taps and traps
Need a new kitchen tap, bathroom tap or bath tap? Mark the Plumber can remove your existing tap and install a replacement, helping restore reliable use and stop problems such as persistent dripping or leaks around the tap.
Taps are used every day and can wear out over time. Replacing an old or faulty tap can improve how it works, help prevent leaks, and give your kitchen or bathroom a fresh look. If you’re choosing a replacement, make sure it’s suitable for your sink, basin or bath and compatible with your existing plumbing.
Three signs your tap may need replacing
- **It keeps dripping or leaking** even when fully turned off.
- **The handle is stiff, loose or difficult to operate.**
- **There’s water around the base or connections** when the tap is running.
A dripping tap can waste a significant amount of water over time. Waterwise says a tap dripping once per second can lose more than 12,000 litres a year. waterwise.org.uk The repeated sound can also be frustrating, especially when the house is quiet at night.
A leak around the tap or its connections may damage the sink area, worktop, cupboard or surrounding surfaces if left unattended. Even a small leak is worth checking before it has time to cause further trouble.
What’s included in the installation?
I’ll remove the existing tap and fit the replacement, then check the connections for leaks and make sure the tap is working correctly. For kitchen tap installations, the price includes new flexible tails and new isolation valves if required.
For bath taps, access can take longer. The bath panel may need to be removed to reach the connections, which is reflected in the installation price.
Tap installation prices

- **Bath tap installation: £150**
